Recovery Journal Isolation

Many database and filesystem environments rely on journaling, transaction logging, or incremental change tracking to reduce recovery time and minimize data loss.

EtherGap allows organizations to automatically synchronize recovery journals across a controlled physical air gap at scheduled intervals, such as hourly or at other configurable recovery points.

During synchronization windows, EtherGap briefly closes the gap to transfer journal data, then automatically re-establishes physical isolation once synchronization is complete.

This approach helps maintain trusted, isolated recovery data while minimizing exposure time and preserving low recovery point objectives in the event of ransomware, corruption, operational failure, or destructive automation.
